My 13 week nutrition and lifestyle education programme for people living with diabetes was officially launched in January 2014, alongside my book 'the 6 diet' which underpins RebalanceDiabetes.
This was following 2 pilot groups held in York from August 2013. Those groups proved that people with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes could achieve much better clinical outcomes than by just following their usual NHS care and advice.
Typically we saw
a marked drop in blood sugar, measured via HbA1c tests carried out at GP surgeries or at a diabetes unit in a hospital
healthy fat loss (fat loss and weight loss are not always the same thing!)
increased energy, vitality and a heightened sense of well-being.
The results of RebalanceDiabetes have been called a "miracle" by one diabetes specialist nurse in York - you can hear more about that in the videos on the home page of my RebalanceDiabetes website - click here!
If you, or anyone you know, has been diagnosed with diabetes, and would like to know more then please drop me a line via the contact form at the top of this page, or email me at, or call me on 07842 103 498. I'll be delighted to hear from you!

“I was diagnosed with type two several years ago and, despite my very best attempts to get my blood sugar under control I couldn’t get my levels below 16, 17, 18 or even 19, and 20 which is dangerously high. I joined a gym, I followed every bit of dietary advice from the NHS dietician, but to no avail. My diabetes specialist at York District Hospital was adamant that I must increase my dietary efforts.
At my wit’s end, I talked to a friend who knows Elaine Wilson, and he suggested I contact her. Elaine advised a 180-degree turn in my dietary habits. She meticulously planned my diet, giving me very detailed meal plans.
Now, just 6 weeks later, my blood sugar levels typically range between 5.8 and 7, hitting my targets perfectly. I have lost 5kgs in weight and my partner and family all noticed I am a different man.”
